Our Victorian style external doors are available in single or double configurations, with optional side panels.

What materials are external Victorian doors made from?

Our Victorian style doors are made from solid Pacific Ash timber, with the option of decorative InsulSafe glass. InsulSafe is made with our extra strong SafeGlass, housing decorative zinc, lead or brass panels within a sealed, double glazed unit.

Do external Victorian doors also include glass?

Some Victorian styles do include glass, such as our Claremont doors, while others are solid timber. You can also mix and match solid doors with glass side panels, or vice versa, to achieve the look you want.

What dimensions are external Victorian doors usually available in?

We offer two different heights: 2040 or 2120 mm. Widths include 820, 870 and 920 mm. You can choose single or double doors and add optional side panels. Our traditional external doors can be trimmed down and still remain under warranty, which means they can be retro-fitted into existing framework and even slightly out of square door frames. We also have selected products that can be custom made up to 2400 x 1200 mm.

Some of our traditional door designs combine decorative glass with embellished moulding for a Victorian-inspired style from top to bottom. The top half of the door features decorative glass panels, while the lower half features additional moulding and ornate touches such as ledge and scroll to add texture and interest.

The optional raised moulding on our Balmain timber doors creates a 4 or 6 panel design that sets an elegant and traditional tone for your Victorian-style home. Including a side panel that compliments, can create a grand entrance that a stately Victorian home deserves. Balmain doors can be finished in our signature rich dark maple stain for even more depth and character.
