All of our timber doors are made from 100% Pacific Ash timber, which is a beautiful, solid and strong natural material. We use this timber because it has a rich character and an elegant natural grain, and because it makes for high quality doors that will stand the test of time.

Most importantly, our timber source is completely sustainable and our operations take great care to protect the biodiversity of the Canadian forests we source from. Ethical decisions are taken to protect soil quality and the ecosystems of the forest and surrounding waters. The areas we source from are responsibly reforested, using the latest techniques, so that we do not take more from our environment than we are able to give back. We are proud to make use of this stunning natural material to complement and enhance homes across Australia, but we are also committed to keeping nature in balance.

Knowing the rich heritage and value of our wood, we also take great care to handle it with sensitivity and precision. All of our timber is quarter sawn, not face cut, which makes the wood more stable and gives it a straighter grain. Quarter sawn wood has much less tendency to cup, bend and warp, so your doors have a timeless quality and will stay at their best for years to come.

The natural variations in this exquisite wood mean that every one of our solid timber doors is unique, and they can be trimmed, painted or stained to suit your home style. Our signature dark maple stain brings out the natural grain and distinctive character of the wood, or your doors can be pre-primed with an undercoat so that you’re free to paint them in the colour of your choice.
