The black 316 marine grade mesh has passed rigorous strength and resilience tests, including impact, knife shear and jemmy tests, and we can include a mid rail for panels wider than 920 mm to enhance the strength and security of your screen. Our Ultrasafe screens meet the Australian Standard AS5039-2008.

Can an external aluminium door be exposed to the weather?

Aluminium is resilient and durable, which makes it ideal for external doors, all year round. Our Bona Vista range is tested to 200pa water infiltration, all panels and frames are installed with a double weather seal, and the doors comply with Australian Standards AS2047. However, it is important to consider the extent of the exposure. Homes that are by the coast, on a hill, or with a large open yard, few surrounding trees and no overhead protection will be significantly exposed to the elements and certain configurations would not be advisable.
